Richland County sheriff’s deputies took the rare step of obtaining a court order to release the name of a 15-year-old boy they are seeking in connection with a string of armed robberies and assaults in the county and city.Valtori Chapman-Hopkins is wanted on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault, Sheriff’s Department spokesman Lt. Chris Cowan said.“Somebody knows where he is, and they need to turn him in,” Cowan said.State law generally prohibits identification of anyone younger than 17 who is charged with crimes.It’s the first time Sheriff Leon Lott has obtained such an order, which was issued by Family Court Judge George McFaddin, Cowan said.
