Once again, Hillary Rodham Clinton didn't utterly collapse, nor did she perform the miracle required to get back into real contention for the Democratic nomination.She still trails in the race for delegates, yet hasn't allowed Barack Obama the 2,025 delegates needed to sew up the nomination.In the coming days, we will hear the same chatter from the Clinton campaign, all about the popular vote and Michigan and Florida, as they desperately try to change the currency in this race from delegates to any coin that gives them the edge.Currently, the only measure by which Clinton leads is superdelegates, those party bigwigs who don't answer to Democratic voters.They were created to thwart rank-and-file Democrats by giving insiders the power to influence the Democratic nomination and to keep people like Obama down.Pivoting from boasting the lead in superdelegates to claiming the popular vote is a shameless move only the Clintons could pull off.Speaking of superdelegates, what does Clinton [ Full article ] |
