British Aviation Authority deadline 5 Days, 5 hours remaining The Shannon Airport Authority have now conceded that it is highly unlikely that a replacement carrier for the Shannon to Heathrow route is unlikely. This comes after British Midland decided at their board meeting last week that they would not take up the route.. CityJet are saying that it is doubtful that they would have something based at Shannon in time for the Aer Lingus pull-out, due to their allocation of resources as part of their expansion into London City Airport. British Airways have stated from the start that they were not interested in running a Shannon-Heathrow...Come fly away with me!!!
