Shameless Self-Promotion

I have finally entered into the world of self-broadcasting. I am officially a member of the facebook community. It’s taken me a while because 1. I think I’m old and have no place making friends on the Internet; 2. I’m a mom; and 3. my job as a teacher didn’t allow the time or energy, nor did it particularly welcome the public scrutiny. It would be a teacher’s worst nightmare to have students popping into her personal life, however “private” it might feel when one is alone with the keyboard. But I did it. Mostly because my husband and friends have been talking about it more and more, and I’m not one to like being left out of the loop. So now I’ve been on it for two hours this morning–writing on walls, adding friends, looking up random people from my past. I should be out doing errands. I should be cleaning the house. I should be calling the plumber to see if he’s going to install a new hot water heater.
