Grammy Award-winning Colombian superstar Shakira expressed her support for Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama, stating that his leadership skills can restore peace and boost global confidence in the U.S. once more. Obama is facing Republican nominee John McCain in the November elections. Obama reportedly accepted the singer s endorsement, stating that he s honored to do so. He added that Shakira has served as a role model among the Latin population both inside and outside United States.
