Anderson, South Carolina (The Weekly Vice) -- Gina M. Loftis, a 34 year old Anderson County Detention officer has been arrested and charged with sexual misconduct with an inmate.According to the arrest warrant, Loftis, who resides in Easley S.C. engaged in sexual intercourse with an inmate at the facility on June 7th. Investigators say Loftis was on duty at the time. The inmate was an Anderson County Detention Center trustee at the jail, according to the warrant.Authorities obtained a written statement from Loftis admitting to the offense, according to investigators.In addition to the sex related charge, Loftis was terminated from her position on Tuesday by the Anderson County Sheriff's office.Following her arrest, she was booked into the very same detention center she worked at as an officer - the Anderson County Detention Center.
