Here is a bureaucratic screw up of monumental proportions. The Maryland Department of Corrections accidentally released 27-year-old John Henri Palmont. Corrections officers went to the Prince George’s Hospital Center yesterday to release another inmate, and accidentally released Palmont by mistake. Palmont was convicted of sexually assaulting a 9 year old girl. If anyone has seen or know Palmont’s where abouts please call the Prince Georges County Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit at 301-772-4908. The search continues for a man suspected of sexual assault who was mistakenly released from custody in Prince George’s County on Friday. Police say that 27-year-old John Henri Palmont was being treated at Prince George’s Hospital Center for injuries he suffered when he jumped from a window trying to escape arrest on Thursday.
