Sequoia Capital MD On Investing In Fropper And Minglebox

Sequoia Capital India MD Sumir Chadha was put on the spot about investment in Fropper and Minglebox in an interview by CNBC-TV18. [via VC Circle] Chadha says "We do not back competitors, so we look at these properties even that they may appear from the outside to be competitive - they have very different focuses, very different user bases and we are seeing a lot of growth in that sector." Very convincing, right? Chadha also says that there isn't enough advertising inventory today and a lot of their companies are seeing strong ad sales. He adds that the real issue with internet today is lack of connections and users; he calls for broadband reforms from the government.
