Well smack me in the face with a sprout, what a shock - or not. Jamie Oliver has spoken about his new Channel 4 programme, Jamie at Home, and how he hopes it will encourage viewers to grow their own vegetables. No way?! Talking to the Manchester Evening News, Oliver said:"It sounds rather worthy, but just put a packet of seeds in the ground, grow it into something, and you will just love it. It connects you with the ground. I know I sound like a hippy, but growing stuff has completely changed the way I think about food and cooking." That's nice, Jamie, you big hippy.
