The Wu-Tang Clan’s claim to have cleared a Beatles sample for their Dhani Harrison and John Frusciante-featuring 8 Diagrams track built around a guitar line from “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” is a bit flawed, the group is now clarifying. The two guitarists play a bit of the Beatles song on the Wu track (as first reported in Rolling Stone in early August), but no original master samples are used. Isaac Hanson, the oldest member of the sibling trio, is in stable condition at a Texas hospital after suffering a pulmonary embolism a painful condition that results when a blood clot originating in the arms or legs travels towards the lungs. The band canceled a show last night in Tulsa, OK. The final track listing has been released for Guitar Hero III, which now includes Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love” and Santana’s “Black Magic Woman.” Full list of playable songs after the jump.
