Kanye West Issues Statement on Mother’s Death, T.I. Writing New LP From Home, Linkin Park Frontman Returning to Side Project

Kanye West released a statement last night about his mother’s death saying, “Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West … In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West’s name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute.” Donda died Saturday of what is believed to be complications from plastic surgery, although the surgeon who claims he operated on Donda says he did nothing wrong. An autopsy is scheduled for later this week. Britney Spears partnered with photo agency X17 to auction off an autographed copy of Blackout on eBay.
