Guest blog by Doug Sacrison Richard Gere is free! The actor's arrest warrant has been suspended by officials in India, after a judge deemed the charges frivolous. Precisely, judge! Last year, Richard Gere offended the whole population of India by bending Bollywood starlet Shilpa Shetty over his knee and giving her a rather conspicuous kiss at a public AIDS awareness event in New Delhi. He got himself in hot water because the kiss apparently broke public obscenity laws. Okay, I guess he didn't offend the whole population of India (since apparently public opinion showed that most Indians just didn't care), but even a small fraction of the whole population in India means more than the whole population of a lot of other countries. I'd rather have the whole population of Barbados angry with me than the whole population of India. Sorry Barbados, it's sheer numbers.
