After being shutout for the first 5 innings, the Red Sox woke up from their early morning arrival and got to the Devil Rays for 3 runs in the 6th inning on a Kevin Youkilis 3-run homer. They added 4 more runs off the woeful bullpen to provide the final margin of 7-1. Tim Wakefield was good last night and that was to be expected since he pitches well in domes. He is now 8-0 at the Trop and has 17 career wins against the Devil Rays. Manny’s hot hitting continued as he had two more hits. Unfortunately in his return to the Trop, Julio Lugo’s 15 game hitting streak came to a close.
