Prostate cancer will affect 1-in-6 men and it is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in men It must be taken very seriously, which is why the following news is so disturbing. If you haven’t heard already, a new study by researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine have found that a popular prostate cancer treatment called “androgen deprivation therapy” may actually encourage prostate cancer cells to produce a protein that makes them more likely to spread throughout the body. Because the therapy is considered effective at slowing tumor growth, the researchers are only recommending further research and not curtailing therapy at this time.
