Filed under: Kidwear, RecallsThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Payless ShoeSource have announced the voluntary recall of about 90,000 pairs of girls' boots. As unlikely as it may seem, the guitar-shaped zipper pulls on the boots can interlock while a child is walking, causing her to trip and fall. They have actually received four reports of this happening, one in which a girl fell and skinned her knees. The recall involves the boots pictured here, which are black and have a jeweled guitar design on the outer leg and a guitar-shaped zipper pull on the inner leg. The words "Hannah Montana" are engraved on the outsole and a photo is the singer is printed on the box. They were sold in girls' sizes 10½ to 4½ at Payless ShoeSource stores nationwide from August 2007 through September 2007 for about $27.If your child has a pair of these boots, you should ignore her pleas to keep them and take them way immediately. You can return them to the store [ Full article ] |
