Campaign events (not including fundraisers) by candidate (tallied from the Washington Post's Campaign Tracker): Edwards: 345 Obama: 331 Clinton: 284 Richardson: 356 Dodd: 225 Biden:177 Kucinich: 171 Gravel: 35 About 1/3 of those Gravel "events" are debates. I did three times more events than that in a two-month book tour last year (~110) than Gravel has done running for president all year. Now look at the candidate calendar. He's got nothing scheduled until October 19. If he's not going to run a real race, I think it's time for Gravel to either 1) quit, or 2) at least pretend he's taking this thing seriously. Taking up a valuable podium spot on stage should require more than simply claiming you are running for president. It should require evidence that the candidate is, indeed, running for president.
