Ever since her rather lackluster performance at the last Democrat debate, there’s been some rather subtle spin from the Hillary Clinton campaign that amounts to something along the lines of Hillary’s mean male opponents gaining up on a poor girl. Which isn’t a terrible political tactic, I suppose, except that as Ace points out, she played it against the wrong people. The media isn’t going to be very sympathetic to the idea of a John Edwards of a Barack Obama being some sort of anti-girl bully. Had she played it against, say, a Fred Thompson or a Rudy Giuliani it would be a whole different story. The media would have picked up the spin and ran with it. [ Full article ] |
