Apparently the Republican field debated at Drake University early Sunday morning. I was asleep at the time and didn’t even know the event was happening, so I won’t presume to write on the subject. For a great summary, see Steven Nielson’s review at Conservative Issues, Conservative Guy. He predicts Tommy Thompson and Duncan Hunter are not far from dropping out of the race. The House stayed late after Thursday night’s debacle and passed the defense appropriations bill yesterday before heading home. Bowing to pressure from the right, the House leadership also agreed to appoint a bipartisan investigative committee to look into the infamous “stolen vote” from Thursday night. [ Full article ] |
