No More Shines Papi

Last season Fausto Carmona spent a brief period as the closer for the Cleveland Indians. He had the job just long enough to get strafed in two blown saves at Fenway Park before getting moved out of the job. Fast forward to last night at Jacobs Field. The Red Sox have been away for a while and haven't run into Carmona during his breakout season as a starting pitcher. Hanging around the field before the game he overheard David Ortiz telling some of the other Sox about their past history. Papi: "Fausto! All dressed up." Carmona: "Don't bust my balls Papi." P: "Hey, Fausto, if I was gonna break your balls, I'd tell you to go home and get your shine box. Now this kid, this kid was great. They, they used to call him Spitshine Fausto. He'd make your shoes look like fucking mirrors, excuse my language." C: "No more shines Papi. You been away a long time, maybe they didn't tell you." P: "Relax, would you. What's got into you?
