If you'll remember back to last week, these pages featured excerpts from Deion Sanders' column for the Fort Myers News-Press about Michael Vick. Prime Time espoused support for the quarterback because he was being crushed by the media for having a "passion for dogfighting" instead of complimented for enjoying dog-killing activities. Sanders was rightly ripped far and wide for supporting illegal activities and many pointed out that authorities might want to discuss his comments about knowing many other athletes that engaged in dogfighting. But it's America, we're all able to express our opinions, no matter how off-base they may be, right? Not according to the NFL. Ed Reed, another writer at the paper, fills us in.
