Dubai’s much-anticipated Hydropolis underwater hotel will open its doors later this month and despite looking like a giant phallic symbol, the 300 million ($611 million) hotel expects to attract countless guests who want to sleep with the fishes. The Hydropolis boasts three elements; the land station, where guests arrive and check-in, the connecting tunnel, which will transport guests via train to the hotel’s main area, and the 220 suites within the submarine leisure complex. Architect Joachim Hauser designed the hotel, which ranks as one of the largest contemporary construction projects in the world and certainly ranks as an underwater vision worthy of Jules Verne.
