Quiet week so far, the Cork strike still dominating. Presumably the Cork v Waterford clash on Sunday will fall by the wayside. Richie Bennis has decided to start 5 newcomers for Limerick’s big clash with Tipperary in Thurles while their dual player Stephen Lavin has declared for the hurlers after being named in both football and hurling teams at the weekend. Despite Tipp’s good early form their boss Liam Sheedy has declared that no one is guaranteed a place and he wants competition for all 15 spots in his panel. Sounds like he’s taking a leaf out of Brian Cody’s book. Tipp could be a dark horse this year. Ger Loughnane seems to have calmed down a bit as he’s only made two changes to the Galway team for their clash with Offaly.
