Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate mothers or other nurturing individuals in our lives. For many today is a celebratory day in which you can enjoy the past memories you have made and look forward to a future filled with new, wonderful times. If today is a celebratory day for you, put any anxieties and worries aside and spend some quality time with your mom either in person or over the phone (if you live far away from her). However, for other individuals, today is not a celebratory day. Instead, Mother’s Day might bring back painful memories or feelings of loss, grief, anger, or resentment. If your mom passed away, you might feel sad and lonely today. If you don’t have a good relationship with your mom, you may feel lonely, angry, sad, and/or frustrated.
