MGM lauches Lions for Lambs YouTube contest |

MGM/United Artists has created a YouTube contest to promote the upcoming release of Lions for Lambs that seeks to play off the same socially-conscious themes of the movie, reports Variety. The contest encourages people record and upload a 90-second video of themselves talking about the social issue that matters the most to them. The promotion - and the movie itself - has its own YouTube channel where you can view the submission guidelines as well as watch a promotional spot for the contest and the movie’s trailer. Submissions will also be fed into a Google Gadget that people can put on their personalized Google homepage to vote on their favorite entries. The contest is being undertaken by all parties, especially Google, to show what an effective promotional partner it can be for Hollywood.
