Filed under: Health and Safety, ToysIn a move that should surprise absolutely nobody, Mattell has announced the recall of hundreds of thousands more toys made in China due to excessive lead in the paint. The majority of the recalled toys are Barbie accessories - 675,000 to be exact. Included are products manufactured between September 30, 2006 and August 20, 2007. Click here for detailed descriptions and pictures of the recalled Barbie accessories.Mattel is also recalling 8,900 units of Fisher Price Big Big World 6-in-1 Bongo Band toys, sold between July 2007 through August 2007. Click here for more information.And last, but not least, 90,000 units of Fisher Price Geo Trax Locomotive Toys are being recalled.
