A couple of months ago I announced I was about to do a consulting assignment in NYC. I've been doing this gig for just about two months now, and my last day is tomorrow. I'd love to say that my leaving is a mutual understanding, but in reality it's not. I'm leaving because the guy who's supposedly in charge is a major league jerk, and I gave notice before he had the chance to cancel my contract. I can't really say we didn't get along because we didn't spend all that much time with each other. I will say that he was one of those guys who wouldn't listen if I gave him an answer he didn't like, that he was a guy who would do some very sneaky stuff without telling anyone, then not give people the tools to fix his mess, and was one of those guys who would ask you this and that and want you to do this and that, then would wonder why something else wasn't being done.
