“Spanking Bill” in California

What are we going to do about this? Certainly, I agree that spanking should be defined so as to prevent child abuse. However, Assemblywoman Leaver, (who’s real goal was to cover all ages and thought that she could only get this passed by stopping at age 3) is trying to limit our Constitutional rights. Some people believe in spanking because it is actually Biblical (which is found in the book of Proverbs). That means that their religious freedom is being violated. Perhaps the ACLJ should step up and fight this for Christians everywhere. But it doesn’t just affect parents and/or Christians, it affects everyone! Even if you don’t have children. You will feel the effects when you allow the government to take your rights away little by little (allowing them to set a presidence) and also by the type of society you live in in the future when people have not been displined (and don’t have self discipline as a result).
