While reviewing Twitter clone Jaiku, I came across a neat Internet messaging bot called IMified, which lets you interact with a bunch of different Web applications--Google Calendar, Backpack, Remember the Milk, Blogger, Movable Type, and more--via, you guessed it--IM. Send an AIM, MSN/Windows Live Messenger, or Gtalk/Jabber (and later Yahoo! Messenger) instant message with any text at all to the screen name IMified (IMified@imified.com for MSN), and you're signed up. Three numbered mini IM-based apps are ready to go: Notes, Reminders, and Todos. You just enter the number prefacing them to get to these simple text-based applets. Notes is a simple way to enter text you may want to call up. Reminders asks you when you want to be reminded with the text you've put in and requires you to set your time zone on your Settings Web page.
