The latest Indiana Jones flick isn't even out in theaters yet but that didn't stop cable TV Network USA from purchasing the rights to broadcast the movie. USA tied down exclusive rights to the Indiana Jones movies including the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.It's been an active year for pre-release broadcast rights. As cable channels draw in bigger numbers (and the big networks draw less) the cost of securing movie rights is rising. USA has nabbed the Indy flicks as well as the upcoming Sex and the City movie and Semi-Pro with Will Ferrell.USA is buying not only the latest sequel but the first three entries in the series as part of an overall deal that could cost the network $40 million, depending on the box office racked up by "Crystal Skull" in U.S. theaters.
