It looks like i-mate is looking to give its i-mate JAMA some much needed low-end company. If you’ll recall (or not), the entry-level JAMA smartphone from i-mate was a lackluster Windows Mobile 5.0 aimed at the mass-market. It didn’t have WiFi, 3G, or even EDGE radios, and only worked on two GSM frequencies (dual-band). Well, i-mate’s at it again with a couple new entry-level JAMA handsets - and they look pretty damn familiar, don’t they? The i-mate JAMA 101 and JAMA 201 get slightly bumped-up spec sheets in order to try and bring up the low-end of i-mate’s lineup - right below the i-mate Ultimate series smartphones. Both the i-mate JAMA 101 and i-mate JAMA 201 feature a 2-megapixel camera, tri-band (900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM with EDGE, microSD card slot, and Windows Mobile 6.0.
