Wired offers a couple of good tips for hiding your email address from spam bots without pulling it from your web site altogether. The most user-friendly suggestion is the Email Protector tool, which encrypts your email address. You have to add a small javascript file to your web server to decode your address behind the scenes only when a visitor clicks your contact link. Of course, it's not the only way to avoid spam, and nothing can guarantee someone won't still harvest your address, but it looks like a pretty good method.
