Trent Lott had an innocent slip of the tongue a few years back, and it cost him his position as Senate Majority Leader. Less than a year later, Chris Dodd had the same thing happen to him, but it barely made the news, and their was no outrage like there was with Lott. Dodd's gaffe was buried by the liberal mainstream media. I don't personally believe Dodd or Lott are racist, nor do I believe a slip of the tongue should become a major issue, no matter what side of the aisle you're on. Now, when a Democrat official, an elected official to boot, calls a 75 year old black man "Buckwheat", well....
