Harold Ford's concern trolling

For someone who thinks he's engaged in a debate about the Democratic Party's future, Harold Ford sure is taking his message to odd places. He's been on Fox News (including Bill O'Reilly's show) to tsk tsk those crazy radical leftists. And today, he makes an appearance in the far-right Wall Street Journal editorial pages. So for someone who is supposedly trying to influence the debate, it's odd that he's making his arguments in conservative circles. So yeah, read that column if you want. It's the usual concern trolling from a conservative, with the Harold Ford assist. As if we're supposed to believe that conservatives have any interest in helping Democrats get elected... But check out this little bit of chutzpah: As he does his convincing, Mr. Ford is going to be holding up a few key facts, ones that no belligerent blogger has yet been able to refute. The party's most impressive gains last year all came from politicians straight out of the DLC cast. Four governors spoke at the DLC
