Lily Allen’s US visa revoked

07 Aug 2007 Pop star Lily Allen was detained at Los Angeles international airport on Sunday night, locked in a cell, strip searched and questioned. She was released five hours later following negotiations with her lawyers but her US work visa was revoked. During her detention Lily, the daughter of film and TV star Keith Allen, was questioned about her arrest in London in March following her alleged attack on a photographer. Lily, who performed in front of Princes William and Harry at the Concert For Diana, had flown in from Australia to attend the MTV video music awards launch in Las Vega and film a music video with rapper Kanye West. Lily is apprehensive that once she leaves the US she will not be able to get a fresh work visa to re-enter for her planned tour in September.
