Former Iowa Democratic Party chairman Gordon Fischer called today to say he’s relaunching his blog, iowatrueblue.com, after about a three-week hiatus, with a new goal to avoid negative politics. “I’m going to keep it 100 percent positive,” he said, noting that Karl Rove’s resignation is already putting him to the test on that. He added he’ll also pay particular attention to the impact of money in politics and the need for campaign finance reform, plus highlight the contributions of “ordinary” people in the political process. Fischer has not yet picked a candidate in the Democratic caucus race, but says he won’t remain on the sidelines. He said he’ll be traveling with Barack Obama’s campaign on Saturday to look over his operation. [ Full article ] |
