The Open Geospatial Consortium has approved Google's submission of its KML markup language, used for annotating maps and geographic images, as an open standard. This will make it easier for device makers to integrate outside data, and will make it easier for Microsoft, Yahoo, and others to adopt the Google way, if they so choose.Read More...
