Simpson was acquitted in a criminal trial for the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, he was found guilty in a civil court of the wrongful death of Goldman and ordered to pay millions of dollars in damages to the Goldman family. Simpson has been rather reluctant to pay up and the Goldman's have had to force him to give up assets and income, such as monies earned from the use of Simpson's likeness in a video football game, Take-Two's All-Pro Football 2K8. And when Simpson tried to publish a book about the slayings titled If I Did It, the Goldman's went to court and gained the rights to the book. I assumed this meant the story of how O.J. would have done it if he did it would never see the light of day.
