Giuliani/Pataki Guy Raises Funds for a Democratic Comptroller |

City Councilman David Weprin, a Democrat, is getting some unusual help in his campaign for city comptroller. The first name listed as a host of his November 29 fund-raiser is Adam Barsky, the former Deputy Secretary for Republican Governor George Pataki. Barsky later became the Director of the New York City Office of Management and Budget under Rudy Giuliani, and the mayor's Chief Financial Officer. Which should make for some interesting conversation around the hors d'oeuvres table about the fiscal prudence of the previous Republican administrations.
