A couple of crybaby crime news items making the rounds today made your CR guys so sad. Cue the violins and grab a box of Kleenex. You might just need it. Joran: You’re mean to me! Joran van der Sloot, prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, is complaining about his treatment in jail. Wonder why CR doesn’t feel sorry for him? God knows his treatment in jail goes against US standards, but hey, its Aruba. There’s something about that smug kid that makes us shrug and say SO WHAT? Here’s a snip: “He’s making a request to lift restrictions to allow family visits and access to newspapers, magazines, TV, even a Bible,” prosecutor spokesman John Pauley told CNN on Tuesday. His lawyer says: “These are tactics reminiscent of Nazi Germany,” he added. “How could reading a book or the Bible possibly affect their investigation?” CR thinks tactics in Nazi Germany were more extreme, but hey, that’s us again.
