States have been jockeying for position in the presidential nominating process, but once the dust has settled, Florida may end up dictating who becomes the Republican presidential nominee with its moved-up Jan. 29 primary. A recent poll by Quinnipiac University showed Rudy Giuliani in the lead in Florida with 27 percent, followed by Fred Thompson at 19 percent, Mitt Romney at 17 and John McCain at 8. [ Full article ] |
