These daily Yankee looks are getting a bit repetitive. Unlike some of the early season runs they are repetitive in a good way but still there's only so many ways to describe a team outhitting, outpitching and outeverything elseing their opponents. It's fun to watch but a bit boring to read about. So, in quick and easy checklist form, the 9-4 Yankee win in Kansas City. Strong starting pitching - Half a check for Chien-Ming Wang's six innings and four runs. The Wanger got a big early lead and, in the parlance of our times, pitched to it. The Royals were never closer than 8-4 and Wang never found himself in all that much trouble. Strong hitting - Check. 13 hits, nine walks and nine runs will get the job done more often than not. The 63 runs over the past five games is the most since July of 1931 and that team had Haile Selassie's work on Ethiopia's first constitution to inspire them. Comeback players - Check.
