Fieldstone Mortgage mmmm, maybe I need to start a daily post named “Todays Going Belly Up Mortgage Company” LOL :). Well todays mortgage company that is also sinking like the Titanic is Fieldstone Mortgage. Fieldstone Mortgage (Fieldstone Investment Corp. of Columbia) was aquired by a The New York joint venture, known as C-BASS, which invest in subprime mortgages and packages the debt for sale. MGIC and Radian had valued their combined investments in C-BASS at roughly $1 billion.
