Audience Member Aiming to Sue “Dr. Phil” for $100 Million |

In September 2003, Neal David Sutz attended a taping of the “Dr. Phil” show. The entire audience was asked to sign a waiver saying they did not have a mental illness and weren’t under psychiatric care. Sutz disclosed that he was bipolar, and he was instructed not to speak, interact or communicate during the show or with Dr. Phil and his staff members. Sutz felt discriminated, and reached a non-monetary settlement between he and the show’s producers in 2004. Now, Sutz wants a judge to void the non-monetary settlement so that he can now sue for $100 million. [ Full article ] |
