EA to Incorporate Real-Time Weather into Sports Titles |

Why is it that it seems the most realism is coming from sports games these days? Electronic Arts seems to be on their game. An article in Wired today revealed that EA is going to be teaming up with The Weather Channel to bring real-time weather to whatever area of the nation you are playing in. So if you’re playing against the Seattle Seahawks on their home turf, most likely you’ll be seeing grey skies. But with the Arizona Sun Devils on the other hand, you will be playing under sunny skies. Weather depending, of course. “Rain will cause more fumbles, you’ll see players breathe in the cold, and they’ll get tired when it’s hot,” Tyrone Miller, a spokesman for EA Sports, told Wired. Weather which is affected by real-life weather conditions which affects the gameplay is a pretty awesome addition, but there are limits to just how real it is going to get.
