Don't Forget, O'Neal Also Mentioned the Nets

More specifically, it's focused on bringing him and Kobe Bryant together, something that both men would welcome. But amidst all these dreams of a rejuvenated Lakers and Kobe's life made worth living, there's another player in the mix. According to the New York Post, the Nets are starting up talks with the Pacers again. O'Neal himself mentioned them along with the Lakers as possible destinations, which is a pretty strong hint for Rod Thorn to pick up the phone. Presumably, they'll pick up where they left off during draft week: Nets team president Rod Thorn, who talked with the Pacers about O'Neal, 28, during draft week, declined comment because the Indiana star is under contract. The Nets had offered Richard Jefferson, Nenad Krstic and Jason Collins, but the Pacers wanted Marcus Williams over Collins. The talks died. In
