According to reports, rebate checks will go out four days ahead of schedule. Starting Monday, some people will see refunds showing up in their bank accounts.Since I'm married and filed my tax returns jointly with my husband, we expect to receive around $1,200. And while I'm anxious to receive it, it doesn't make me forget the fact that I'm paying out the ass at the gas pump or that our country is nearing (or in, depending who you ask) a recession.So what will you do with your rebate check? Will you spend it? Will you save it? Will you invest it?We plan to use ours to pay off some debt. Whether it be for our credit card (which may or may not be paid off by then) or my husband's Lasik surgery or maybe toward paying off one of our cars, the quicker we get out of debt, the better off we will be.
