Maybe the reason my already poor typing has gotten even worse is my recent diversification. Ordinarily I don't comment often on other blogs, given that I already dribble away so much time with this one. But I found an interesting post, or more specifically an interesting nascent discussion, concerning "souls" and human embryos. You can see that commenter Phil, who believes it's unfair to dismiss the concept of gods and souls out of hand despite the lack of evidence for same, makes a lot of the usual noise -- arguments from authority ("[atheism] is not a result of the scientific method, but rather a philosophical conclusion"), goofy equivocation ("When you make the statement that there is no need for God, it would be similar to me making a statement that the world is flat or that the moon is made of cheese") and so on.
