By GIL LeBRETON Not to jump to conclusions or anything, but what in the name of Justin Thompson was that?I refer, alas, to lefty Kason Gabbard's second inning Sunday night, which was halted after only one pitch.Officially, as announced by the club, Gabbard was removed abruptly from the game because of "left forearm stiffness." His status will be listed as "day to day."I'm no doctor -- though I frequently play one here in the newspaper -- but when a newly acquired pitcher with four arm surgeries in his past complains of "forearm stiffness" in only his third game with the club, "stiffed" is exactly the verb I'd be looking for.Day to day?Gabbard has been a Ranger such a short time, he still wears one of those "Hello, my name is Kason" stickers in the dugout.The Rangers should know all about "day to day" arm injuries.
