Defcon Security Team Busts NBC Dateline Spy |

Prior to Defcon, the event’s security team was aware that NBC Dateline may try to infiltrate the convention and catch individuals on film and audio admitting to felonies. In a series of comical events, the reporter was caught and basically pointed out by Jeff Moss (Defcon founder) to the entire crowd. The series of strange events ended with her bolting for the car with a mob of people behind her taking photos and capturing film of the entire scene. This event seems like situational irony at it’s best. According to Defcon representatives, Dateline’s plan also involved filming a federal agent at the event, which in their words wouldn’t have been a “cool” thing to do.
