The American consumer continues to suffer from high gas and food prices. Seemingly there is no end in sight and that spells trouble for John McCain. Even though inflation remains in check, it is the cost of gas and food that most directly affects the consumer and therefore the most important.The McCain people are fully aware of what this means; an angry voting block, looking to blame someone and that someone is going to be the oil companies and eventually food producers. Consequently the age old adage of blaming the rich will surface once again. The message of being for the people will be amplified and it is the Democrats most closely tied to this message.
